Pharmacogenomics:

Drugs don’t work the same for all of us. The reason for this is that there are enzymes responsible for drugs activation and deactivation, these enzymes are controlled by genes and the activity of these enzymes are different from one to another.
If the enzyme responsible for the activation of a certain drug has low activity in a certain person, this drug won’t work properly. These drugs might be used to treat serious diseases like myocardial infarction (heart attack) so if the drug has poor efficiency in a certain person, major complications will happen. Our pharmacogenomic test screens for most of the genes responsible for drug metabolism and provide a report with the drugs that should be replaced for a specific person and their alternatives that will work effectively in this person.
